By accessing or using the Humura Therapy platform, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the platform.
IN A CRISIS? If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, are at risk of harming yourself or others, or are facing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately (dial 999 or 112). Do not rely on this platform in emergencies — seek in-person assistance right away.
The Humura Therapy platform connects you with independent, licensed therapists ("Counselors") who provide counselling services ("Counselor Services") through the platform.
All therapists on the Humura network are independently verified. We require every therapist to hold a relevant academic degree, a recognised professional certification or licence in their field, a minimum of three years' clinical experience, and at least 1,000 hours of hands-on practice.
Therapists are independent professionals. They are not employees or agents of Humura Therapy. The quality and suitability of their services is their professional responsibility.
You may request to change your therapist at any time if the services do not meet your needs. If a therapist stops using the platform, we will notify you by email and assist you in finding a new match.
Humura Therapy's counselling services are not a substitute for emergency mental health care, in-person psychiatric evaluation, formal clinical diagnosis, or medication management. They are also not appropriate for:
Do not delay or avoid seeking in-person professional care based on anything you receive through this platform.
Your privacy is a priority. The way we collect, store, and use your information is detailed fully in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By using the platform, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data. However, no online system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
The platform may contain links to or content from third-party websites and services. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for any third-party content, products, practices, or privacy policies. Your use of any third-party content is at your own risk.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or security. Your use of the platform is at your own risk.
Humura Therapy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or the services provided through it. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have paid (if any) through the platform in the 12 months prior to your claim.
You agree to release Humura Therapy from any claims arising from the services provided by therapists or any content accessible through the platform.
This limitation of liability survives the termination of these Terms.
By creating an account on Humura Therapy, you confirm that:
You are fully responsible for all activity conducted through your account. Humura Therapy will not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
You confirm that any payment method you use is one you are duly authorised to use, and that all payment information provided is accurate and current.

Session cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a refund. Multi-session packages require a minimum deposit of 70% before services commence.
Humura Therapy may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time — with or without notice. We are not liable for any consequences of such changes.
While we work hard to maintain a reliable and accessible service, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform depends on software, hardware, and third-party infrastructure that may occasionally experience issues.
We may communicate with you via email, the platform, or regular post using the contact information you have provided. The date of delivery is considered the date of receipt. Notices to us should be sent to info@humuratherapy.com.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from your use of the platform will be handled under Ugandan jurisdiction.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Humura Therapy regarding your use of the platform.
We may update these Terms by posting modifications on the platform. Changes take effect upon posting unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Humura Therapy may freely transfer or assign these Terms and its obligations.
